Aurora Wings Challenge #28

New challenge starts today at Aurora Wings Challenge Blog.. Theme for this one is 'Vintage'..

I decided to make an altered pocket watch *sounds vintage isn't it*.. Because this one is relative small (with diameter around 4cm) it takes a bit long time for me to choose the image.. but finally I choose Steampunk Girl with Doll which you can find here.. colouring her with copic marker..

This image is my first Aurora Wings image.. but until today I still have no courage to colour her.. I think this is one of the most intricate image from Mitzi.. and now I must colouring her in very small size... wuff wuff hope I didn't ruin her beauty..

After the colouring done, I put some crackle paint over the image..

I paint the pocket watch with red ochre acrylic paint.. after dried add some coarse texture gel.. then re-paint again with red ochre.. after all dried I put some gear dies cut out on the back of the watch.. then add some gold acrylic paint here and there..

Put the image inside the pocket watch.. add some tiny gears, handwriting, brads, charms, beads and chain.. and taraaa... here's my new pocket watch.. :D

Back side of the watch..

And here's a closer look at the cute image..

Euuww.. perhaps it is more steampunk than vintage.. but I think steampunk also vintage isn't it? *or am I wrong?* :D

Materials and tools:
* Prima Marketing's Mechanical - Finnabair Clocks
* Cheery Lynn Design's Gear (set of 9) dies
* Reeves' Acrylic paint and Coarse Texture Gel
* Ranger Distress Crackle Paint (Clear Rock Candy)
* Vintage brads and chain tassel from Tim Holtz' Idea-ology
* Tiny gears and small gear, chain, beads, pearl from my stash..

I think I will add another chain to make this a steampunk necklace *wink*

Don't forget to join our challenge.. It runs for 2 weeks start from today.. And a very good chance to win some awesome images from Mitzi :D

Thank you so much for stopping by today.. Also thank you for leaving your sweet comment.. I really appreciate that *mwach*... Soooo... till the next post then... cyaaa.. <3

hugs,
~RoRa
